Book marketing is overwhelming and the amount of advice can be exhausting. Emily Enger of Good Enough Book Marketing recommends two of the best strategies to promote your book: Ads and trade reviews.

Taking out an ad in an email list from a company that features books (such as BookBub) has a powerful effect on sales. These ads target readers of your specific genre. And, as such, your book has a higher chance at reaching your intended audience. 

Trade reviews, while not as effective at increasing book sales, are important to establishing your book's credibility. Trade reviews are professional reviews that increase the merit of your book. To be reviewed in Publisher's Weekly, or a magazine similar to it, will get your book seen by librarians and book sellers.
